Mobile Outreach

Tom Frey, Jen Shinefeld supporting a neighbor in need on a cold and rainy day after the city had evicted everyone from the train stations. May, 2021
You’ll see our team out 6–7 days a week across Philadelphia and the surrounding counties — even in extreme weather. Our mobile outreach doesn’t follow predetermined routes; we go wherever the community needs our support.

What we do:
-
Distribute goods based on availability and community needs
-
Move donations quickly from donors to the community
-
Respond “on-call” for food partners at any time of day
We stay flexible and ready, making sure resources get to the people who need them most — no matter the weather or the hour.
Harm Reduction Event Support
Substance use happens everywhere. Plan and simple. We want to ensure access to materials that make people's experiences safer. The Everywhere Project provides harm reduction to events such as music festivals, raves, concerts, community events, and more. Event support can look a bunch of different ways!

What event support can include:
-
Providing Naloxone & Testing Strips
-
Providing Safer Use Matierals
-
Tabling at the event
-
Providing staff trainings
-
Educational Materials
-
First aid support
-
On-site support

Every event and every venue has it's own vibes, and we do not approach anything thinking we know best. We work with event planners and staff to ensure that we are meeting the needs of the event. We're there to keep people safe and have a good time.

Full Thanksgiving Family Boxes to more than 50 families annually.
-
Every holiday season, we host a toy giveaway with Santa in Kensington where we provide an average of 1,000 toys to children.

Specialized Support
We will always meet people where they are. We support individuals in a variety of life circumstances:
-
In treatment
-
Newly Housed
-
Hospitalized
-
Just in need of a little extra support

Harm reduction doesn't just occur on an individual level:
-
In 2023, we were able to provide more than 40 pairs of water shoes for kid's summer programming at McPherson Park in Kensington.
-
In 2024, we were able to provide local low income housing programs with more than 800 outfits for children.
-
In 2025, we provided Conwell Middle School approximately 1,600 pounds of food for their pantry during the SNAP benefit shutdown.
